SUNDAY MORNINGS
Join us at 10 AM every Sunday Morning!
Dress: At Newhope, we keep it pretty casual—jeans, sneakers, you name it. But if you love dressing up, that’s great too! We believe you should feel comfortable, so just come as you are.
Services: We’d love for you to arrive about 5 minutes early, if you can. That way, you’ll have time to grab some great coffee and breakfast snacks and get settled in. Our Sunday service kicks off with worship—a time of singing and connecting with God—followed by a few brief announcements. Then, we’ll share an encouraging message of hope, and wrap things up with one more song. If you’d like someone to pray with you, we’d be honored to do that at the end of the service.
We’re here to provide a fun, safe, and meaningful experience for your kids during the service. Childcare is available for elementary-aged children (and middle schoolers are welcome too!).
With a secure check-in process and trained, background-checked volunteers, your child’s safety is our priority. During KidsChurch, they’ll enjoy games, songs, and a lesson about Jesus in a loving environment.
For children under the age of 5, we provide a our Family Room, where parents can enjoy the service from a monitor with their child! We also have a Nursing Mothers Room available!
We get it—meeting new people can feel a little awkward. Here’s what you should know: there’s no pressure. You don’t need to give, and you definitely don’t need to have everything figured out.
Our community is made up of people from all ages and all walks of life, and many of us didn’t grow up in church. We often call ourselves a “band of misfits,” which means there’s room for everyone—just as they are.
We sing songs that correlate with our current sermon series and/or that also reflect the season of the story of Christ that is told through the Christian calendar. Some of these seasons are celebratory, while others encompass mourning and waiting. In doing so, we tell the story of Christ, but we also create space for those within our community with whom life is not always celebratory. Click here to learn about why we participate in the Christian Calendar.
We also sing songs encourages our hearts to change in response to our particular cultural moment. We will sing songs that recommit us to love, to service, to humility, to a less hurried way of life, to peace-making, to trust instead of worry, etc.

Come join us!
We are located 1275 30th Ave, Santa Cruz, California 95062, right in the heart of the Live Oak neighborhood. We gather at 10:00 AM every Sunday for Service and 6:00 PM every Thursday for Family Night. We welcome you to attend either as your first time with us!
FAMILY NIGHTS
Join us at 6 PM every Thursday Night!
Family Nights are the highlight of our week! We start with a shared meal for all ages. At 6:30 PM, the kids head downstairs for their own activities while the adults catch up, pray for one another, and share life updates. Then, we dive into a Bible study and discussion together.
It’s a night of connection and encouragement—we’d love to see you there!
We are currently studying 1 Corinthians!
1st Corinthians is a letter in the Bible written by Paul to a group of people in Corinth. They were dealing with some big challenges—arguments, confusion about right and wrong, and relationship drama.
Paul wrote to encourage them, help them get back on track, and remind them what really matters: loving each other.
We provide KidsChurch for elementary-aged children (and middle schoolers are welcome too!).
With a secure check-in process and trained, background-checked volunteers, your child’s safety is our priority. During KidsChurch, we are currently reading God's Big Picture Bible Storybook and discussing it together. We play a few games too!
